01Who we are
Design Port is an independent design studio run by Mrunmayee from Pune, India. We design mobile apps, websites and visual assets such as App Store screenshots, social media posts and thumbnails.
This policy explains what information we collect when you visit this website, get in touch, or work with us on a project, and what we do with it. In this policy, “Design Port”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the studio and Mrunmayee.
If a project proposal or contract we sign with you includes its own privacy or confidentiality terms, those specific terms apply to that project alongside this policy.
02Information we collect
When you contact us
If you use the enquiry form or email us, we receive your name, email address, the type of help you need and anything you choose to write. The form on this website does not store anything itself: it opens your own email app with a ready-made message, and we only receive it once you press send.
When we work together
To deliver a project, we may receive:
- Project details: briefs, goals, target audience, content, feedback and messages.
- Brand and creative materials: logos, images, copy, fonts, references and access to tools you share with us.
- Billing details: your name or company name, billing address, GST number if applicable, and records of payments.
We never ask for or store your card or bank login details. Payments are made by bank transfer, UPI or a payment provider that handles that information under its own privacy policy.
When you browse this website
This website does not use cookies, analytics tools or advertising trackers, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
It saves one small note in your browser’s session storage so the opening animation plays only once per visit. It never leaves your device and is deleted when you close the tab.
Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the time of a request, to keep the website secure and running.
03Services this website loads
To display fonts and run animations, your browser connects to a few trusted third-party services. When it does, those services receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details, under their own privacy policies:
- Google Fonts for the typefaces (Instrument Serif, Manrope and JetBrains Mono).
- cdnjs (Cloudflare) and unpkg for the animation libraries GSAP and Lenis.
- Our website host, which delivers the pages to you.
04How we use information
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal or quote.
- To plan, design and deliver your project, and to support you after it ends.
- To send invoices, keep accounts and meet tax and legal obligations.
- To keep this website secure and improve how we work.
- To show finished work in our portfolio, only as described in our Terms of Service and never with your confidential information.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we will not send you marketing emails unless you ask to receive them.
05Legal basis
We handle personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Contract: to prepare and deliver the project you ask for.
- Consent: when you contact us or ask us to do something. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to run, secure and improve our studio and website.
- Legal obligation: to keep invoices and records that the law requires.
07International transfers
We are based in India, but some of the tools we use store data on servers in other countries. When your information is transferred abroad, it stays protected by those providers’ security measures and contractual safeguards.
08How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become a project: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Project files and messages: for the project and up to 2 years after it ends, so we can help with updates. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
- Invoices and payment records: as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require.
09Keeping it safe
We use encrypted connections, two-step verification on our accounts and access controls, and only people working on your project can see your files. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect your information and will act quickly and tell you if something goes wrong.
10Children
Our services are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
- Correct or update anything that is inaccurate.
- Delete your information, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Stop or limit how we use it, or withdraw your consent.
- Name someone to exercise these rights for you, where Indian law allows.
To make a request, email designport003@gmail.com. We will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India or to your local data protection authority.
12Automated decisions
We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not profile visitors or clients.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our studio or the law changes. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top, and we will tell current clients about important changes.
